This training session is designed for those in PNWR who have not yet been a group  lead or sweep car on a PNWR tour and WOULD LIKE TO GET INVOLVED FOR FUTURE TOURS!!  We  are looking to get some "new blood" in the group lead/sweep ranks so please consider helping out as a group lead or sweep. The training is also for those who HAVE led or been a sweep car and would just like a refresher course! 

Our goal is to make sure EVERYBODY is on the same page with regards to how we plan and conduct our driving tours.  This includes using a standard set of driving directions, pre-event and "day-of" tour organization for all tours so that both organizers and attendees know what to expect rather than feeling like each tour is conducted in a vacuum. This training session will cover how to be a successful  group driving tour lead or sweep car on our PNWR driving tours.  Topics will include your responsibilities from the initial show time at the designated meeting point to getting the cars assembled in the proper group, waiver signing, briefing group attendees prior to tour start, group considerations during the tour, radio calls, regrouping, how to handle car problems within the group and how to take charge of your groups instead of just being the first car up front. We will also cover the PCA Minimum Driving Tour Standards so there is no question about how tours should be conducted.
