Return to Cannon Beach Tour

Auburn Outlet Collection Mall

About this event

Aerial view of the Tolovana Inn with Haystack Rock on the right

Come join us for the long awaited return to Cannon Beach tour, the last of the overnight tours for 2024!  PNWR hasn’t been back to Cannon Beach on a full tour since 2019 so this should be considered a “big deal” from a tour perspective due to Covid and alternating years with Sun Mountain Lodge.  This is a 3-day tour with the destination being the Tolovana Inn in Cannon Beach right on the Pacific Ocean—I mean less than a 50 yard jog and you’re in the ocean!  Long time PNWR members know it well.

Start Point: McDpnalds, 1304 Outlet Collection Way, Auburn, WA 98001

End Pint: Tolovana Inn, 3400 S. Hemlock,Cannon Beach, OR 97145

We depart Friday morning, Oct 4th, for the drive to Cannon Beach with a lunch stop at Fultano’s Pizza in Clatskanie, OR, followed by some great driving roads down to Cannon Beach.  Dinner details are still being worked out, but Friday night will be on your own and we will not be having a large catered buffet dinner on Saturday night due to prohibitive cost (things have changed since 2019!).  Saturday morning, we will take a tour in our same groups down to the Tillamook Cheese and ice cream Factory for lunch followed by a drive to The Tillamook Air Museum (bad waether option) or Cape Meares Lighthouse (good waether option).  We now have a block reservation at Dooger's Seafood and Grill ini Seaside for Saturday night or you can choose to eat at Mo’s Seafood Restaurant, which is right next to the Tolovana.  Dooger's has very good reviews and it turns out there will be live music on Saturday night.  Dooger's is a little more pricey than Mo's, but is a bit more upscale.  Open the Word attachment here for other "on your own" dining recommendations.  Cannon Beach Dining.docx   Sunday is on your own for the drive back home with whatever stops you choose.  In the past, some people have formed their own small groups for the return trip.

Here is some critical information to know before registering for this tour.  The Tolovana requires a minimum two-night stay over the weekend for group reservations so no early departures since you will be charged for two nights!  Also, there is a 7-day Cancellation Policy for group rate rooms meaning you have to cancel your reservation seven days prior to Oct 4th if you decide not to go so you really need to make a firm commitment to attend this tour!  Our contracted room block consists of 48 rooms and expires on September 4th.  We have 20 Studio Ocean View Suites, 8 standard King bed rooms (non-ocean view) and 20 Standard Queen rooms (non-ocean view).

Studio Ocean View (1 Queen Murphy bed, 1 bath, full kitchen, living room, gas fireplace, balcony/patio) $189/night plus tax

Standard King Room (1 King Bed, 1 bath, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker) $159/night plus tax

Standard Queen Room (1 Queen Bed, 1 bath, coffeemaker) $119/night plus tax

Call the Tolovana to make reservations at (503) 436-2211 or (800) 333-8890.  Tell them you are the Porsche Club 2024 group.
